Just don't put an 8 HPI brushless motor in and it should do well. The Savage has evolved over the last 10 years and is now fairly durable.

Is anyone else a bit disappointed. Im sure its gonna do well but I was looking for something a bit more original not a a brushless roid savage with a sc shell.

Got to give it to HPI for giving a 4wd, But why an oversized Savage? I wish they had upscaled the d8 or even the brama.

I like how it's 6s , can use all my battery's from my flux hp, an it's plenty of power, im most likely getting one, just hope it's at least as durable as the savage being that it's bigger but we'll see

I'd say if they've kept the weight down to 15lbs or so it will move along pretty decent on 6s.But for a grand or better I would probably go ahead and get the gasser,if it were selling for about the same as an XL I'd have one.Maybe it's way better in person and running...who knows may just be a big seller.
