Here's what the X2 Chassis looks like dyed. I used Rit Dye (Cherry Red) 8 Fl Oz. Can be purchased from DDM, your local arts and crafts store or online.

1) Fill a pot large enough for the chassis using HOT TAP approx 3 gallons
2) Turn the heat on to high and pour 8 oz of Rit Dye color of your choice
3) Soak it for 30 minutes and you are done
4) A little more time may be needed if you want a darker color

Sweet, I like the idea of the chassis allowing for flex instead of bending and being ruined. I can see a orange chassis in my future.

here is mine almost done these chassis dye great and dont take long to do.the dye sinks in very well and wont show most scraches. if it dose just re dye it for that like new look. the dye will not ruin the pot it wont stain metal i did mine in a plastic tub and did not stain it.if any body is thinking of dyeing a chassis i would say go for it.for that custom look like no other.
