Hey guys been out of the hobby for awhile and sold my fully hopped up 5b when i got out. My question is now im looking at getting back in is it worth me buying a SS kit and then knowing me buying all the hop-ups anyway and not using half the kit or buying the hop-ups and just the stock parts i need separate and paying more for each part?

Buy the Kit or used, trying to piece a Baja together from parts gets way more expensive in the long run guys have done it, guys have tried to do it..

Dunno if DDM still has them but you used to be able to get the 10610 5B SS kit without a motor for like $759. That would probably be the best place to start. I bought the newer 5B SS kit and it's great but it has the SC rear components (hubs and doggones) which seem to be kinda unique. Meaning nobody makes aftermarket replacements. Which means if you ever want to go with extended arms you have to not only get the usual extended bones but you also have to get new cups. The older kit is OK though.
