TGN pre filter

I was always a outerwears pre filter user, along with the stock foam filter and stock foam pre filter. I bought the TGN redneck pre filter to try out and it works great. I ran 2 tanks thru this in very dusty conditions and the stock foam filter underneath it was still real clean....Great product TGN

Nice work TGN!!

I too like the TGN Redneck outer filter. Did you oil up the outside TGN filter?

It's nice not messing around with the Outerwears, they are such a PITA to put on and take off. I think I'll get another RedNeck so I can change it out after each tank of runtime.
Maybe the draw string type Outerwears would be the way to go, but I don't see my elastic Outerwears fitting over the RedNeck(without alot of cussing anyways). Which type do you use Tim?

the outerwears are a real pain in the rear to fit, especially with the redneck.. but its worth the effort.. after running in fine powder dirt (like babypowder) the outerwears were covered, but the redneck was slightly dirty.. the inner was like new... takes about 5 minutes to fit and I learned a few new words...

I use the elastic Outerwears, Yea its a bit of a prick to put on and take off, but i do it every 4 - 6 tanks of fuel and remove the roll cage to make it easier.

Thanks guys I'll try to fit the outerwears over it next time....but it's going to be like putting 10 lbs of shat in a 7 lb bag

I wonder if my outerwears is slightly smaller then the rest. I gave the outerwears company the Baja filter size and had 2 custom made because this was before they made them for the Baja.

The monkey condom is on it to help keep the throttle from sticking, it covers the plastic slider that usually sticks.

No problem Mark that's a great product you have there, the sand pit where I usually run the Baja is like dust instead of sand when it's real dry.

Are you supposed to oil the Redneck? I think that would be like oiling the outer filter on the stock baja filter.

One time when I was talking to Doug (ESP) about filters and oil, he said to get the filter saturated pretty good, then squeeze it in a paper towel to get as much out as possible. If you leave too much oil in the filter, it will restrict alot of air flow. Even after to squeeze out the extra oil, there is still enough to trap any dirt/dust that finds it's way in there.
