Carbon Fibre Dual Servo Front Upper Radio Plate...
Im proud to announce another new product from UberRC today, working in conjunction with Michael Saxtoft on this one weve come up with another first for the Baja.... Available directly from ourselves and from your favourite UK retailer MMR Largescale. heres the blurb and pic.
Mrp
We proudly give you another first for the Baja from UberRC/BodySax - A Carbon Fibre Dual Servo Front Upper Radio Plate. This redesigned plate allows the use of x2 steering servos, now you can fit 2 Rhino's and being pure Carbon Fibre you'll also make a significant weight loss compared to alloy. The standard front upper plate, radio box and battery is 532g. The UberRC/BodySax Front Upper Radio Plate and a Killer RC battery is only 259g. Adding a second rhino of 164g and you still save about 100g and you get the double steering power. Be it for Bashing or Racing this is the ultimate steering setup for your Baja.

The intention is to use the HPI 85467 - Steering Linkage Set and substitute the thread with one that is a bit longer. Personally I cut a piece of thread rod about 50-60 mm and live with the thread being the same in each end and as the thread is not precut in the ball links this is no problem.

Yea I need a picture of the linkage setup and just a picture of the whole thing together, IMO that kit needs to come with EVERYTHING you need to set this up properly, linkages, threaded rod, etc, if it does, then im sold, this would be really cool

instead of spending a tenner (£) on an extra linkage there is no reason why you cant make your own with a strip of metal and two small bolts through the servo horns. I will be making it and fitting it this weekend, the CF plate should be delivered today or tomorrow at the latest - YAY
Will take pics then

Remember that then you will have no servo saver!!
I thourght about using Elcon servo savers, but they are too long.
If any one finds a servo saver rod style that is not too long for being build in to our car, then please tell.

According to what iv seen in pictures, the home made linkage will simply take the place of the linkage setup you have in the first pic in the link to the http://www.hpibajaforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72286. This would still leave the opposite end of the one servo horn to use the existing hpi linkage and connect to the servo saver.

I would kinda like to see a video showing the difference in steering it would have to make a big improvement before I even think about getting something like this.
