Proline CF chassis
Some one on another forum was talking about Proline coming out with a CF chassis for the HPI Baja. Said they read it in a magazine. Any one heard about or see anything on this chassis? Has any one heard about Proline coming out with a CF chassis for the Baja?

Here are some quotes from the other forum. I would post the link but not sure if I am aloud. It comes from RCU. Looks like it is for real to me but you never know till the hit the streets.
RCCA..radio control car action,
I have some pics that I took from RCX. I will see about posting them up later. It is a very nice chassis. One of the best Carbon ones that I have seen. This is not just a carbon effect. They actually did their homework and used the right tools to mold this chassis. It should be light and very very strong.

That is gorgeous. Looks as good as Vantage Racing's molding. I am interested for sure. It should be lighter than the other one on the market simply because of the cut outs in the sides. I am going to start digging now to find out more.

I have yet to see a CF chassis for the Baja 5B/5T that had the triangles cut out of the sides.

Anybody know if they are doing other carbon parts? just seems odd that they would not make other parts first before going all out on a chassis. I could be surprised though. It does look sweet, I would get one if.when they come out

I saw this chassis in person and was very impressed with it. I have seen the others in person and have even run and destroyed a cf chassis. This thing is definitely one of the nicest and looks to be stout and light. Proline has invested in some nice tooling/molds for this product.

they should autoclave it and use carbon fiber vinyl ester prepreg, would cost a thousand dollars but would be virtually the lightest chassis ever, and strongest at the same time

I would be willing to bet that these were done in an autoclave. It was very very solid looking no something you get from a simple vacuum form.
