Ladies and gentlemen, sunday 22 march the most important 1/5 off road italian event, the first race of the italian 1/5 off road championship will take place in Verona this sunday. Total 6 races around italy.

FIRST RACE: 22-3-09
SECOND RACE: 19-4-09
THIRD RACE: 31-5-09
FOURTH RACE: 28-6-09
FIFTH RACE: 26-7-09

Under here Verona track ( very long track with hard surface )

--------------

I'm almost ready, everything seem to be ok, only still some maintenance to my baja. I'm sure my buggy will be perfect. Thanks to Robert, David, Sean, and Patriek. In fact my "General" will fit the best tires on the worldwide market (Hostile tires), some of the the best and most usefull aftermarket parts on the market (Turtle Racing) and in my opinion the best track engine ( O'neill brothers racing 4 bolts track engine ). Thanks also to Patriek for technician helps, suggestions and for his oils. I was forgotting,,a thanks also to my friend Matt and Mark Hull, great persons. Instead i hope i will not be one f u c k i n g pilot and i will cut a fine figure! I MUST!!
I will be happy to keep You posted!

I'M ALMOST READY,,,

EVERYTHING OK at the first race of italian 1/5 off road championship, great time, sunny spring day, amazing track and many racers (about 25-30 pilots), a wonderful day.

AND ALSO A WONDERFUL RESULT FOR ME:
-I finished at 2th place and i got the best lap time of the race
I was first untill the last 5 minutes of race (final was 30 min long ), but my baja had a turnover, and unfortunately the picker man on the track didn't see it early, so my buggy stayed 10-15 seconds turned over and the car who was following me it had the time to arrive to me and passed me,,,but anyway second place and best lap time is a great result to me,,,
My driving was very good: smoth and fast, just one error some minutes before the end of the race,,, The set up of my car was perfect, i have been able to find out the right set up for that track with hard surface, many holes, and also some stone( again thanks to Patriek for the set up advices ). My O'bross track engine worked amazing, very fast engine with a great bottom, and in the same time a very smoth engine, perfect for the race tracks. Also the Hostile mx tires did their work wonderfully, i needed to use only one pair of tires and this pair of mx was long last for the whole race, and at the end of the race they were still in good condition.

Here me, my "General" and the deserved trophy at the first race of the 1/5 off road italian championship

but STILL 5 races at the end,,,

I have a friend that I race with that has his race monster truck painted like the General. I have been racing for years but have just got into 1/5 scale and hope to be racing it soon. If I could not race I would give the hobby up. Bashing is OK but racing is where the REAL fun is.

There's an interesting possibility I might come and attend the race on June 28, 2009! How come?! I will be riding my BMW motorcycle to a place in France the week before the race, and on Sunday (very early) morning I will be heading back to Ancona to catch my ferry on Tuesday. So, I might be able to attend, only to watch and not race (since I'm travelling on motorcycle, I can't carry the Baja with me!). So we can meet with Italian baja racers!!!

The trip from France to Verona is projected to be around 550km's, so I might make it by noon or a bit later, and manage to watch maybe the final or the last hour of racing!

I will keep you posted on my plans as the dates come closer!
