Thanks Rob, glad to hear the display is still looking good after shipping, wish I could've hand delivered it for the show, maybe dunetoberfest.

Since you keep asking Greg I dug around and found these pics. Once I get another round of proto's I'll be getting a pro photographer friend of mine to take some pics so they're more clear.

In these pics you will see the weld on the outside of the side pods, that weld is/will be ground off to be a smooth finish. The weld on the bottom of the skid plate will stay as shown.

Think the polish job is good enough?

Thumbs up

Thanks for posting the pictures , I'm really liking the belly pan and pods. Can't wait to see them on our favorite hobby stores shelves...

Are the rear skid and pods compatible with the stock chassis?

beautiful work, but with welds like that there is no need to grind them, they look sexy just as they are!!

Tim is correct as usual. The skid bolts up to the stock chasis, and the stock side pods can be used with the skid.

I hear ya loud and clear, I like the welds a lot too, but in the end it's a cleaner look IMHO.

To each there own, but that's why I'll be offering different finishes so you don't have to go with the shelf-queen look if you don't want to. I'm aslo getting some Ricochet on Monday to try out on the polished goods to see if it protects is well enough, see this post for info on Ricochet http://www.hpibajaforum.com/forum/sh...light=ricochet

And yes, I'm hurrying like crazy to get these out...you should've seen my mad dashing for RCX!
