Road Racer - More Pics - Number Plate & Perforated Alu Roof

Some more messing while it's still raining here in UK!
Couldn't get the number plates that I wanted from the sign maker so came up with an alternative...

... fits on the back (like a normal car license plate) or on the upper rear roll cage bars (in front of the rear shock brace, so can easily be viewed from above). Fitting is subject to what pipe is fitted at the time of course. Plate is plastic so can take vinyl stickers as required.

Also pics of perforated 2mm aluminium roof plate. Started with a duplicate of the stock profile as a draft but wanted something abit more 'armoured' feel, so extended profile 2 down the windshield a bit.

Like to know what you guys think!!

You have done an exellant job on that there BAJA, but after a serious bash i cant emagine all the gunk those plates would hide. but again it is a sweet looking machine. well done.

Thanks ttuck3r - Gunk would sure hide those plates (roof alu and number!) - this ones strictly a tarmac and some dry dirt bashing machine -
though my next baja in spring will be spec'd & dedicated to off road / any condition, and modded accordingly.

Thanks - best source for alu in the small quantities we need to mod is to request some samples (say 100 x 150mm in 1mm and 2mm thicknesses) from a local aluminium supplier, internet is ur best bet for viewing whats available. Theyre free and the sizes they come in will probably satisfy all your needs. ie , windows, roof plates etc.

Thanx Hcp - Nerf bars are holding up fine - though of course I wont be T boning it on purpose or trying to fell any trees with it! It will be mainly for tarmac racing so will get a better idea when the 'drier' weather comes round and people come out from hibernation to race around a circuit!
