Savox vs Hitec

Here lately i have been looking at some servos for steering. Ive been bouncing back and forth between the hitec and savox. I have heard good reviews on the savoxs in the 1/8th scale world. What do yall think?

savox is by far better. you are going to get a lot of guts saying "I like my 5755" but most have not used both.

I have used both. With over 3 gallons on each. Difference being that it took three hitecs to get me three gallons and so far one savox for three gallons. Just saying

I have used nine 5745 and three 5755's (three per vehicle at once) with no problem. That said, I love my Savox 1258TG's and will try the 0236's this summer.

You guys are crazy...

I, and quite a few other known racers, us the HPI 30mg steering servo... Don't count that one out. I've beat the crap out off my 3 rigs and all 3 30mg servos are still going strong. Before that, I was blowing gears in my 10mg and 11mgs.... Just throwing that out there for ya to chew on...

It's a really good upgrade but still struggles just a little whipping the wheels back and forth while stationary but the deal is it's reliable!! Non of the guys I know running the 30mg have complained about it and I haven't seen one bust gears yet either! I have 1 hitec steering servo and it still struggels to turn the wheel while stationary so I wouldn't say the hitec is better and as a matter of fact, I have blown 2 of the hitecs. Zero blown 30MGs yet... But that's just my experience....

Now watch me go blow up some gears in one now that I've jinxed it...

The HPI 30 costs $100 on Tower.

The Savox 0236 costs $110 on eBay.

No doubt the 30 is a decent digital torque servo with 18kg/cm @6.0v.
The 0236 however, generates 40kg/cm at 7.4v...

i know the hitec 5755 and have now the savox 0236 - the savox is newer and got high voltage power - its the better servo if you are using high voltage setups.

ok my HiTech mg steering servo has been serving faithfully since its build 3yrs ago,But i have gone to the Savox-SC-1258TG servo for throttle/brake strong and FAST as hell.
.08 @ 6V 166oz. more than enough even for the worst brakes and note the speed, if you save 00.10 @ the servo then you save 00.10 at the tree
