Now that Chris is part of the HPI Baja Community let's show our support for Chris Bartolone!!!
Who's running one of Chris' engines?
I myself have two of his reed setups and now have a third engine (piston port) on the way!!!!
Let's hear what you have???

I believe he finished it. Chris mentioned that he just did a cylinder for some dude in Australia. I guess that dude is you.
FYI it is WELL worth the wait!!!
Just take your TIME breaking and dont rush it. The 36mm Zen's take a little time to get up to speed

I do. I have one on an ESP ported 29.5 setup. I sent the top end to Chris for him to modify and I'm so glad I did. It runs VERY well. Honestly runs as well as my TS and keeps up with a full TS setup.

Are there any advantages of using a zen with this bolt-in reed instead of a complete TS?

The bolt on reed works with a stock piston port setup and that is adapted to work with a standard case eliminating the need to purchase a TS Billiet case

I do not have one of his engines but wish I did. I really would like one of his cylinder reed engines with his reed block. Any one have any idea when he will be adding to his web site?

I have a 2 bolt zenoah 27.2 hand ported by Chris, and also the head reed with the bartolone torpedo. It hauls some serious a**!! we had it in front of his shop the other day with a radar gun and got it at 56mph!!! Definetly impressed!

The best way to get what you need from him is to call him. He usually picks right up!!!

Chris Bartolone is one of the most experienced engine builders on this forum starting back in his Go Ped racing days. Chris has been building long rod motors for many years and has a ton of knowledge of what works and does not work. Chris's cylinder block works very well and is a great alternative to a case reed set up. Ive been running one since we first started putting them our baja engines. The reed block engine revs to the moon without sacraficing bottom end.
Chris built me an awesome reed case top end last year that took top speed at last years Dunetoberfest. It was a 30.5 standard rod engine.
Chris can be reached anytime at (714) 767 7223 or batoloneracing@yahoo.com

Like OCBaja said Chris has been doing this a really long time! Some of you guys on here might not know that or think he is kind of new to this but he isn't! He just doesn't advertise like some of the other motor builders out there. I only have one of his motors and it rips!! Chris's motor knowledge is second to none!
