Was wondering if the Large Scale scene has picked up in Tennessee?

It seems like everyone went into hibernation and never woke up. If you find out anything, let me know.

Hibernation? No, not quite. My baja has been down for almost 10 months... but just ordered a new engine last night, hope to have it together soon!

Howard,
Greg said he sent you an email, hit him back when you get a minute.

The Hawk Pit in Whitehouse seems as if they are willing to race 1/5th scales if enough show up! The track is ginormous from what I hear... Just been racing the 10th scales and haven't made it up there yet.

After the new engine is broken in, I'm going to throw those slicks on it and visit the new onroad track in South Haven, MS... They have a gocart facility they converted for outdoor onroad! Should be a blast with a set of slicks!

Cheers all!

The baja is ready to RIP! Anyone want to meet up at the Hendersonville Park soon?

Just raced the Baja this past weekend in Whitehouse at The Hawk Pit... what a blast! Track is tight, but very long, the best lap times with the baja were around 35 seconds.

The drivers stand is huge, track is sticky, jumps are doable... good times!

Hey James...
Not sure about the oval downtown, but sounds like it's too small to let the engine get on the pipe...

We'll have to get with the Hawkpit guys this summer and see if we can race out there again.

In Knoxville here, no tracks around here but I've found some good public parks to run in... I am scouting non active construction sites now... Always find some good jumpage there!

yeah i heard the hawk pit is the only place around...do they still run 1/5 scale? if so, is it just for practice days or do they have enough that show up for racing? i'm not too interested in 1/5 racing for now...i'm mainly looking for places to beat on it and jump it. i do have a couple jumps i built that i take with me to places to run it. i found a good spot by the hospital, but it is pretty dusty.

Shelby park in Nashville or Hendersonville park in Hendersonville both have a good spot for 5th scales.

I prefer Shelby since it is closer, but it is hard to find it not busy.

Hendersonville has an rc flying field on the water which allows nitro planes after 12pm, so I never take the baja out there before then. The whole park is on a one-way road. I always go to the very last pavilion before the one way ends. Pavilion is secluded on the right behind some trees. Just have to be carefull, the park is one giant fisbee golf course so people just appear out of nowhere from behind trees. I have only been stopped by patrol one time out there, and he was just eying the baja!0

Shelby park is all grass, some roads that can be jumped...

I am in Antioch. Did you get a Losi or find a baja? What kind of spot did you find in Clarksville?
