* Attention * Current IRP Hub Adapter Owners

Hi Guys

I am working on a way to reduce the cost of the IRP to BRP Hub Adapters .

This will be for all the Adapters, HPI , Losi , and the New FG versions .

I need some input from the current owners . I am doing this as a poll so please participate accordingly

Check the box if you do NOT use the back space plates , or the outer flange
Check the Box if you DO think the current price is keeping you from buying
Check the box if you Have broken or cracked a stud hole

I welcome any feedback you may have , so feel free to post up in the thread as well .

I only use the outer flange because I don't like the idea of putting the nut directly on plastic. Not that it wouldn't work that way, I just don't like it..

I'm not to happy that my adapters did not come with plates !! It's hack the way the lock nut sits on the plastic ring and not even in full contact with the wheel .

Are you talking about this plate ? Behind the lock nuts ? Was I supposed to get these with the set of adapters

The hubs are sold in 2 different versions now
1- with the back space plates and outer flanges for the same old price of 69.00
2- without the back space plates and the outer flange for 49.99

It sounds like to me you bought the 2nd listed version ..
If you want the back space plates and the outer flange kit it is available separately for 20.00 per set . ( 2 wheels )

Right now I sell both versions direct, and Todd at BRP does as well.
DDM will do the same once they run through their remaining on hand inventory.

I'm not sure what your issue is with the installation of the lock nuts without the outer flange plate, this has been done that way for over 20 years on 1/4 scale cars and it has Never been a problem , both in mounting or reliability , we race 100 plus lap races with out the outer flanges and just the nuts run down on the plastic Wheel....

We also run them with the bolts going through wheel from the outside and No nuts, and the head of the Button head 1/4x28 thread bolt is larger in diameter than the nyloc...

I see I was not offered the plates from Todd but we spoke today and there on there way . I don't trust running with out them with my 78cc . I had the lock nuts on the outside and they did not sit flush . The way you posted with button head facing out prob would work ok. I like the lock nuts facing out and like the idea of getting a good tourqe when tightening the wheel on vs trying to with alen wrench stripping the button head . Also with the plate there is less change of cracking the plastic do to over tightening . I'm not telling you anything new as you make those plates for a reason . Thanks for the reply
