Now i'm just not too sure what engine to go with? I was looking at the "ESP Modified & ESP Fully Ported 30.5cc Zenoah 4-Bolt Engine 4.5+ HP" from DDM but i just wanted to ask if anybody has any other options for about the same money.

Also i wanted to know if i would be able to put my FAST pipe on the 30.5 ? Then after say 5 minutes, the bottom end starts bogging bad and the idle stays high like its too lean. the fuel bulb is completely full when i come off. it eventually stalls and won't restart again untill it cools down. anyone know whats going on here?

I've done everything i can think of doing with the needles, checked filter to make sure its not over oiled, clutch is fine, no airleaks anywhere, drivetrain seems pretty free. The only thing i havent done is changed the spark plug. It was truely immaculate and had a lot of Uber upgrade and I paid a fair... Last week I bought a brand new (in as much as its never been run) SS... It was truely immaculate and had a lot of Uber upgrade and I paid a fair price.

The fact which bothered me was that it had no tuned pipe, but I got around that fact by buying a Dominator V2 which included in my budget.. I don't mind admitting that the lack of Tuned Pipe bothered me, as it just made me thinking that the engine might not be right..

Over the weekend I have been playing around, getting it ready and I have noticed a few screws which were the wrong length.. No big deal as I have replaced them.. Then I noticed some funny bulges marks on the plastic skid plate.. So I removed it and I think that the bulges are normal.

But what I saw on the chassis shocked me.. All of the engine mounting holes have been drilled out, moved and/or widened almost like the engine didn't quite fit..

I then removed one of the screws (the one under the collar/spacer) and it was only 15mm long (rather than 20mm) and therefore only nipping the threads..

I then tried to remove the other 2, and was a bit concerned that the heads were already rounded a bit.. And true enough, they wouldn't come out.. I tried everything and in the end had to weld on a nut, just so that I could turn them.

So at this point other than 3 screws which can be replaced and a chassis where the holes have been widened there was no major issue.

But I then looked closely at the engine and saw "Chung Yang" written on it... Now unless HPI use this engine in the SS, my gut feeling is that this is a clone? It looks like Fuelie.. The pull starter says "Fuelie 26s" on it.. But its got "Chung Yang" etched into the cylinder head..

Have I been mislead? Ripped off? Is this a non-standard engine?
